In 2025, the Galerie Gastou celebrates its 40th anniversary with an exhibition showcasing the major works that have defined each chapter of its history. From the radical furniture of Ettore Sottsass to the sculptural creations of Shiro Kuramata, the baroque metal of André Dubreuil and the furniture-sculptures of Philippe Hiquily.
The continuous dialogue between great names of the 20th century has defined this history — from André Arbus and Gilbert Poillerat to Ado Chale, Paul Evans, and Jean Touret — affirming its role as a bridge between eras and movements.
True to its pioneering spirit, the gallery continues to champion contemporary talents such as Béatrice Serre, Emmanuel Jonckers, and Agnès Debizet. This exhibition will offer a unique opportunity to rediscover the « Goût Gastou » through the decades and revisit the iconic pieces that were first unveiled within this mythical space.
